Dragons Love Tacos: Stories and More!

Reading of Adam Rubin’s “Dragons Love Tacos” books followed by a simple art activity. We’ll also offer a chips and salsa tasting (totally optional!) for those who are feeling adventurous!
Graphic Novel Fans: Unite!
Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Pulaski Library
Drop in any time between 2:30 and 5 p.m. (this is an early release day for Pulaski County Public Schools)
Join us for an event inspired by some of the most popular graphic novels in our library system, including Dog Man, Babymouse, Amulet, Big Nate and more. While you’re here, get started on creating your own graphic novel, make a craft, get suggestions for other graphic novels to read and more! Come dressed as your favorite graphic novel character for a chance to win a prize for best costume! Suggested ages: 6 and up, but all are welcome! Guests are encouraged to sign up ahead of time (for planning purposes).
Life Skills 101: Getting the Job
Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 5:30pm at the Pulaski Library
Pulaski County Human Resources Director Tammy Safewright will tell you how to improve your chances of landing that new job! From resumes to references to interviews, we’ll help you learn how to portray yourself as someone worth hiring. This event is first in a series geared towards teens, but adults are welcome to attend as well. No registration required.
Thursday, Oct. 3 4:00pm at the Pulaski Library
Participants will put their survival skills to the test with the help of teammates and a survival manual. Some of the challenges might include: finding North with a compass, what to do if approached by a bear, distinguishing the difference between venomous and non-venomous snakes and spiders and more! Hosted in partnership with Claytor Lake State Park. Suggested for ages 6 and up.
Our weekly home school programs have resumed and will continue to meet every Monday at 1 p.m. at the Pulaski Library through mid-December.
- First Monday of every month is LEGO and board game free play
- Second Monday is Time Travelers History Club
- Third Monday is LEGO Club
- Fourth Monday is STEM Club
